Understanding Dispensationalists

Vern Poythress (Presbyterian & Reformed: 1987, 1994)

Blurb Review

This book is not explicitly on biblical theology but we thought we'd include it here as its subject matter is directly relevant - what is the best way to interpret Scripture? Many books have been written to show that dispensationalism is either right or wrong. Poythress here takes a different approach. Believing that dialogue is possible between dispensationalists and covenant theologians (of which he is one), he examines dispensationalism in detail and notes significant developments towards greater agreement between the two positions. The second edition adds a postscript in which Poythress acknowledges further developments in modified dispensationalism and clarifies some points in response to feedback from dispensationalist readers.
